Ingredients for Baked Potatoes with Herring:

  • Potatoes - 5 pcs
  • Herring (lightly salted filet) - 1
  • Cucumber (pickled) - 1 pc
  • Onion (small) - 1 pc
  • Quail egg - 5 units
  • Mayonnaise (Maheev olive oil) - 2 tablespoon
  • Sour cream - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard (grain) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Green onions (to serve)
  • Dill (for serving)

How to cook baked potatoes with herring step by step with photos

1. Wash the potatoes, bake in the oven until soft.

2. Finely chop the cucumber and onion. Mix mayonnaise, sour cream and mustard, add to the vegetables, stir and season with pepper. Boil and peel the eggs, cut them in half. Cut herring fillets into small strips.

3. Cut potatoes in 2 pieces, lay cucumber onion mixture on the top, then put herring slices and half an egg. You can serve on slices of black bread or just as is. Enjoy!!
