Ingredients for Beet Salmon:


  • Beets - 1 pc
  • Lemon juice - 100 ml
  • Water - 400 ml
  • Salt (+ seafood for the sauce) - 1 tablespoon
  • Seeds (dill) - 1 teaspoon
  • Salmon (filet) - 500 g
  • horseradish (fresh) - 2 tablespoon
  • Sour cream - 200 ml
  • Black pepper (ground)
  • Cucumber (lightly salted) - 4 pcs

How to cook beet salmon step by step with photos


Peel and grate beets. Squeeze out the juice from lemon.

Make a marinade of beet, lemon juice, water, salt and dill seeds.

Cut salmon fillets into portions and put them in the hot marinade. Cook over low heat under a lid for 10 minutes or until the temperature inside the pieces reaches 56°C. Remove from heat and let the fish cool in the marinade.

Season the sour cream with peeled and chopped horseradish, season with sea salt and pepper. Slice the cucumbers lengthways. Take the fish out of the marinade.
