I always make a lot of different adjika. This one is my second year making it and it is one of our favorites. Tasty, quick and healthy.

Ingredients for Beet Ajika:


  • Beets - 2 kilos
  • Tomato - 2 kg
  • Sweet pepper - 1 kg
  • Garlic - 300 g
  • Chili pepper - 300 g
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoon
  • Sunflower oil - 1/2 glass
  • Salt - to taste
  • Vinegar (9%) - 1 tablespoon

How to cook beet adjika step by step with photos


Peel, wash and dry all ingredients.

Put them through the meat grinder.

Bring to boil, turn down heat. Cook for 1 hour, stirring.

Add the oil, vinegar, and soy sauce, and simmer for another 20 minutes. I used Kikkoman TM soy sauce.

Spread hot in sterilized jars and seal.
