There are similar recipes on this site, mine is a little easier. It's great as a dressing for borscht or you can just eat it with bread as a caviar. Help yourself!

Ingredients for beet dressing:


  • Beets - 2 kg
  • Tomato - 3 kg
  • Garlic - 2 pcs
  • Vegetable oil - 300 ml
  • Chili pepper - 2 pcs
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1.5 tablespoon

How to cook beet dressing step by step with photos


Peel and grate the beets

Grind the tomatoes through a meat grinder

Mix the beets and tomatoes in a saucepan, add the oil and simmer for 1½ hours when boiling.

Then add minced garlic and chopped chilli, sugar and salt. Cook for another 30 minutes

Ready salad spread in sterilized jars, roll up, turn over and let it cool. Output 7 jars on 0,5l. ( half on photo)
