Beet Marmalade

Ingredients for Beet Marmalade:

How to cook beet marmalade step by step with photos

Wash beets, wrap in foil and bake in oven until soft (about 1 hour)
Let cool, peel, grate (or mince in a food processor) and mix with the grated ginger and the juice and zest of the lemon. Pour in the sugar and stir to combine.
Bring to a boil in a saucepan, and simmer stirring for 5 minutes. Put into jars, cool, and store in the fridge for a month. If you want to store for longer, you should follow the usual procedure - sterilize the jars and lids, fill with hot marmalade, sterilize again in boiling water and seal. |
