Cod liver cream with cream cheese

Very easy to make, but very tasty appetizer.
Ingredients for cod liver cream with cream cheese:

Mayonnaise

1 tablespoon

Lemon juice
(to taste)

Cheese curd
(like "Philadelphia")

70 g
-
Cod liver
-
125 g
-
White onion
(very finely chopped)

1 tablespoon
-
Salt
(sea salt to taste)

Black pepper
(ground to taste)
How to cook cod liver cream with cream cheese step by step with photos

Chop onion very fine. Drizzle with lemon juice, leave to marinate. |

Drain the oil from the cod liver. Mash the cream cheese with a fork, add the liver and mix well until smooth. Add onion, season with salt and pepper. |
|
Dress with mayonnaise. Keep in fridge till serving.
Very tasty with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, capers and rye bread. |
|
Can be served in serving spoons for those who don't eat bread products. |
