Very tasty pate with lightly salted herring and vegetables. Since this recipe has lightly salted herring, lightly salted cheese, and still unsalted vegetables, I added soy sauce to taste "Easy", it has less salt.

Ingredients for fish pate:

  • Herring (I have herring in a jar with oil 500g, without oil 400g) - 400 g
  • Carrots (boiled, coarse) - 2 pcs
  • Onions (medium) - 2 pcs
  • Cream cheese (100 g each) - 2 pcs
  • Butter - 50 g
  • Soy sauce (light TM Kikkoman) - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice (I have lime juice) - 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato - 1 pc

How to cook fish pâté step by step with photos

Peel the herring, cut into large chunks or take canned herring, prepared slices without oil.

Add peeled and chopped carrots

Sliced carrots and onions.

Put all ingredients through a meat grinder or mince with a blender until smooth.

Add butter, soft cheeses, melted cheese to the obtained pâté,

Grind again with a blender and add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and the lime juice.

Spread pâté on slices of bread, garnish with tomato slices and green onion rings. Enjoy Enjoy!
