I read this recipe in a 1908 cookbook. I changed it a little bit, though, replacing one ingredient. But even with this little change, it is very good.
Ingredients for stuffing:
- Herring (about 350g.) - 1 pc
- Onions - 1 pc
- Milk - 100 ml
- Bran (oat bran) - 100 g
- Olive oil - 1 tablepoon
- Parsley - to taste
- Vinegar - 0.5 teaspoon
- Black pepper (ground) - to taste
