Ingredients for herring snack:


  • Sour cream - 1-2 tablespoon
  • Bread (white or loaf) - 2 slices.
  • Cucumber (pickled ) - 1-2 pcs
  • Chicken egg (boiled) - 2 pcs
  • Onion - 1 pc
  • Herring (filet) - 1 pc
  • Mayonnaise - 1-2 tablespoon
  • Gelatin

How to cook herring snack step by step with photos


Boil gelatin (see on package. on package), cool.

Combine sour cream and mayonnaise with 4-5 tbsp. Spoonfuls of gelatin, stir to combine.

If you have whole herring, not fillets, separate herring from bones. Cut all the products into small cubes.

With white bread or loaf cut the crusts and also cut into cubes.

Combine all the products and pour the sauce made of sour cream, mayonnaise and gelatin. Mix.

Put the mixture into muffin tins (or a big one), put in a film and place in the fridge.

After an hour, take it out and arrange "cupcakes" on a plate, garnish with herbs, mayonnaise and olives. Our appetizer is ready. Enjoy your appetizer!!!
