Ingredients for Herring Balls:


  • Herring (salted, large) - 1 pc
  • Chicken egg (boiled) - 5 pcs
  • Butter - 100 g
  • Parsley (a few sprigs)
  • Mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • Bread (white) - 10 slices.
  • Vegetable oil (fry bread)

How to cook herring balls step by step with photos


Boil eggs, peel, halve, separate egg yolks from whites.

Deseed herring.

Grind parsley, egg yolks and herring through meat grinder. Add softened butter and mustard, mix and make balls.

Fry bread on one side, put white bread and a herring ball on it. Our appetizer is ready!!!
