  • Beets (steamed) - 1
  • Egg yolk (boiled) - 1
  • Cheese semi-hard ("Russian") - 50 g
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Herring (pickled)

How to cook herring in a ball step by step with photos


Grate boiled beets on a fine grater.

Grate egg yolk.

Grate cheese on a fine grater.

Mix and season with salt.

Open a can of herring (I use "Mathieu" or "Atlantic" pickled).

Make a cake out of the mixture, put a piece of herring in it and make a ball.

Let it sit in the fridge for an hour and a half, and you're good to go!!!
