How to cook herring pancakes step by step with photos
Chop onions, marinate in vinegar. Chop herring fillets. These are instructions for making a dish from scratch, but since I have herring from yesterday's dinner table with pickled onions, I just cut it into smaller pieces. |
Add the egg, flour, salt and pepper to the mashed potatoes (I also have yesterday's mashed potatoes from the table). Stir everything with a spoon. |
Heat a pan with oil, then turn down the heat and spoon out the potatoes and put a couple of slices of herring and onion on top. |
Put a couple of slices of herring on top of the potato mixture and turn up the heat. The dough is very sticky, so it is better to work with two tools (fork + spoon, fork + fork, spoon + spoon) |
Fry on both sides. |
The pancakes in a slit. Enjoy!!!! |
