Herring pate

All Purpose Recipe for Every Occasion.
Ingredients for herring pate:

Herring
(medium salted)

300 g
-
Cheese mass
(like "Philadelphia")

200 g
-
Yogurt
(natural very thick or sour cream)
-
100 g
-
Black pepper
(ground to taste)
-
Honey
(1-2 dess.l. depending on how salty the fish is)
-
Lemon juice
(or white balsamic)
-
1 tablespoon
How to cook herring pâté step by step with photos

Peel herring, cut into fillets and dice. |

Place cream of cottage cheese, yoghurt or sour cream, herring, honey and lemon juice in blender. Grind until smooth. Taste. My herring was very salty, so I added 2 tablespoons of honey. |

Put pate in tins and leave in fridge for 3-4 hours, better overnight. In the morning the most delicious spread on black bread will be ready. |
|
And don't tell anyone that there's honey in the pâté, they won't guess it anyway. Enjoy! |
