  • Herring (lightly salted filet) - 250 g
  • Apple (sweet and sour) - 2 pcs
  • Almonds - 1-2 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise (lightly) - 1-2 tablespoon
  • Kefir - 1-2 tablespoon
  • Ketchup - 1 tablespoon

How to cook herring under apples step by step with photos


Grate apples on fine grater, mix with ground almonds. Whisk together mayonnaise, kefir and ketchup. Cut the herring fillets into slices and arrange them in a row on a plate. Pour apple and almond puree over it, Top with the mayonnaise and yogurt mixture.

Garnish with chives or parsley. Let stand for 10 minutes
