Hot appetizer is a variation on our favorite julienne! A delicious combination of crab meat and leeks in a creamy, cheesy sauce!

Ingredients for a hot snack with crab meat:

  • Crabmeat (or crab sticks) - 250 g
  • Leeks - 1 pc
  • Hard cheese ("Russian" TM "Belebeyevsky") - 50 g
  • Cream (23%) - 100 ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Nutmeg - 1 pinch.
  • Paprika (ground for decoration) - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil (for roasting)

How to cook hot snack with crab meat step by step with photos

Cut leeks in rings, fry in a little vegetable oil for 1 to 2 minutes.

Cut crab meat into small pieces, add to onion. Stir to mix, gently heat through.

Pour in cream, add salt and nutmeg and bring to boil.

Cheese "Russian" TM "Belebeyevsky" Grate on coarse grater. Set aside one handful.

Add remaining cheese to cream, cook over low heat stirring until cheese melts (1-2 minutes).

Spread the mixture into the cocotte and cover with the remaining cheese. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius., Bake for 10 minutes. Sprinkle paprika on top of ready made appetizers
