Ingredients for Korean-style herring:


  • Herring (salted, fillet) - 250 g
  • Greens (I have cilantro) - 1 bunch.
  • Ajika (Korean (yannem)) - 1 tablespoon

How to cook Korean herring step by step with photos


Ingredients: 1. You can salt and file the herring yourself. But I'm too lazy. So I bought a ready-made salted herring fillet. 2. You can use any herbs you want. It would be nice to add green onions, but I didn't have any. 3. I described how to make yannem in the recipe "Daikon chimchi "Cacti

Finely chop the greens. Cut herring into small pieces.

Place all the ingredients in a bowl. I like a very spicy appetizer, and I put a tablespoonful of it with a huge handful. For some people, a 1/2 teaspoon would be plenty. Adjust the amount of yannem to your liking.

Stir. Place in refrigerator overnight, infuse.

Incredibly delicious. Especially with whiskey. Bon appétit!
