Ingredients for Korean mackerel:

  • Mackerel (fresh frozen) - 1 kg
  • Onions (large) - 5 pcs
  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 100 g
  • Sugar - 1 tablepoon
  • Salt - 1 tablespoon
  • Hot red pepper (ground) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper (ground) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vinegar (table) - 50 g

How to cook mackerel step by step with photos

Defrost mackerel, rinse, dry

Dismember the fish into fillets and cut into portions. Cut onion into half rings

In a saucepan heat vegetable oil until smoky, add tomato paste, salt, sugar, black pepper, red pepper. Stir well until a homogeneous mass is obtained and all ingredients are fully heated. Let sauce cool slightly, add vinegar. Mix fish, onions and sauce. Put in fridge for 4 hours.

Arrange fish on a plate, pile onion in the center.

Onions and fish with vodka will be done in few minutes. Bon appetit
