Ingredients for a snack of mackerel, with carrots and onions:


  • Mackerel (salted) - 1 pc
  • Carrots - 2 pcs
  • Onion - 1-2 pcs
  • Greens (fresh - cilantro, dill)
  • Tomato paste - 1-2 pcs
  • Spices (for Korean carrots) - 1-2 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

How to cook mackerel appetizer, with carrots and onions step by step with photos


Peel and gut the mackerel, remove the skin and cut into small pieces.

Cut the onion into slices. Fry in vegetable oil.

Add grated carrot to onion and fry it.

Add tomato paste and fry it.

Add Korean spice for carrots. Stir well.

Put mackerel in a bowl and put on top of fried vegetables. Leave it for 30-40 minutes.

Finely chop fresh herbs and add to the ready dish.
