  • Mackerel (fresh) - 1 pc
  • Salt - 100 g
  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Orange peel - 1 teaspoon
  • Orange juice - 3 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Oregano - 1 pinch.
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon

How to cook mackerel in citrus marinade step by step with photos


Remove the guts of the fish, wash and cut into small pieces. Pour salt and sugar over it and leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Then rinse the fish from salt very well.

Then let's make the marinade. Mix the oil, the juice and the zest of the orange with the soy sauce and add the oregano.
