Ingredients for mackerel in mustard marinade:


  • Mackerel - 2...3 pcs
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Salt - 2 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoon
  • Mustard powder - 2 tablespoon
  • Vinegar - 3 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 50 ml
  • Bay leaf - 3 units
  • Allspice - 5 pts
  • Coriander - 2 teaspoon

How to cook mackerel in mustard marinade step by step with photos


Bring water to the boil with salt, sugar, mustard powder and spices. Remove from heat, add oil and vinegar. Let it cool to room temperature. Gut the fish, remove the head. Cut into 3-4 cm wide slices.

Put the fish into a bowl and pour the marinade over it. Cover and leave in the fridge for 10-12 hours.

Before serving sprinkle with greens. Enjoy!!
