  • Fish (macrourus) - 800 g
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Monosodium glutamate - 1 pinch.
  • Lime - 1/2 pc
  • Avocado - 2 pcs

How to cook Macrus tartare with avocado step by step with photos

The first thing to do is to make a fillet out of the mackerel. Place the fish fillets in a colander and leave in the fridge for a few hours to drain off the liquid.

Cut the filet into cubes. Add salt, pepper, monosodium glutamate and the juice of a quarter of a lime. I foresee people saying that monosodium glutamate is bad for you and all that. You have to eat a lot of it to get any harm from it. Macrurus doesn't taste very pronounced, so it's not unreasonable to enhance it. Leave it to marinate for an hour. During this time, more liquid will run out, that's why after marinating it is necessary to let the excess liquid run out in a colander.

Peel and dice the avocado and sprinkle with the juice of the remaining quarters of lime.

Place the avocado in a cooking ring (I cut it out of a plastic bottle).

Place a layer of fish on top.

Remove the ring and serve as a cold snack.
