How to cook pickled mackerel step by step with photos
|
Defrost the mackerel. Carefully cut along the back along the ridge. Cut into 1-1,5 cm slices.
Place in a bowl. |
|
Mix 4 tablespoon rice wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon sugar, 0.5 tablespoon salt.
Pour the marinade over the fish.
Let it marinade for 60 minutes. |
|
After an hour, put the fish into another bowl. Add chopped onion with half rings to the marinade and heat it without bringing it to the boil. This process makes the onions softer and removes all the bitterness.
Sieve the onions and leave to cool.
Add the carrots and pickled onions to the fish. |
|
Heat oil and add to the fish.
Add chili sauce to taste.
Stir very gently.
Let it marinate for 3 to 4 hours. |
|
After 3-4 hours put the fish on a plate. Create a pile of carrots and onions in the center of the plate.
