Ingredients for pickled mussels:


  • Mussels (frozen) - 300 g
  • White dry wine - 100 ml
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Olive oil (or any odorless vegetable oil) - 50 ml
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoon
  • Bay leaf - 1 pc
  • Mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Dill (finely chopped herbs) - 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro (finely chopped greens) - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (ground, to taste)

How to cook pickled mussels step by step with photos


Defrost the mussels.

Bring wine to boil, add garlic, pepper and bay leaf. Add the mussels and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.

For the marinade mix oil, lemon juice, pepper, honey, mustard, herbs and salt.

Let's add mussels warm in marinade sauce. Put garlic clove and bay leaf together with mussels. Put in cold place. Let all this beauty marinade for at least three hours.
