Pickled Squid

Ingredients for pickled calamari:

(red, not peeled - very important)

(drinking water)

Bay leaf

How to cook pickled squid step by step with photos

Rinse and peel calamari under cold water (do not remove the foil).
Pour water into a small saucepan, add bay leaf, pepper (do not salt) and put on the heat. |

Once the water boils, put the calamari and cover with a lid,
Once boiling, cook (over high heat) for 3 to 5 minutes, no more (stir a couple of times). |
|
Remove the calamari with a slotted spoon, rinse under cold water and cut into rings. |

Sieve the broth in which the calamari was boiled,
Season with 2 tsp. Spoon salt, juice of one lemon, stir. |
|
Put the calamari in a jar or a bucket, pour the marinade over it, cover and set aside in the fridge.
In 3-4 hours you can taste it.
Store in the fridge. |
