  • Water (Boiled) - 1 l
  • Salt - 4 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoon
  • Vinegar (common 9%) - 3 tablespoon
  • Bay leaf - 5 units
  • Allspice - 7 pcs

How to cook pickled herring step by step with photos


Defrost the herring.

Remove the head and guts... Rinse well...

Prepare marinade. 1 liter of cooled boiled water, add salt, sugar, mix everything, then the vinegar.

Put the herring in a container in which it will be salted.

Pour the marinade over the herring. Add bay leaf and allspice. Let's put it out in the cold. Freeze for 2 to 3 days.

At the end of 2 to 3 days our herring is ready! Incredibly tasty!!! Marinade onions with herring. Enjoy your appetizer!!!
