Ingredients for sweet and sour shrimp:

  • Shrimp (thaw frozen) - 200 g
  • Rice Wine - 60 g
  • Vinegar (rice wine) - 20 g
  • Sugar - 40 g
  • Salt - 1 pinch.
  • Corn starch - 2 tablespoon
  • Sesame - 1 teaspoon

How to cook sweet and sour shrimp step by step with photos

Mix the sauce: rice wine. Rice wine, rice wine vinegar, sugar, salt. The rice wine can be replaced with sherry.

Stir in the shrimp and starch

Fry shrimp in hot oil until crispy. If making several portions, fry in batches

Put the shrimp in the sauce for 5 minutes

Drain most of the oil from the pan and fry the shrimp soaked in the sauce for a minute

Pour the sauce (if making several servings, part of the sauce) into the pan and steam a little. The sugar in the sauce will caramelize.

Sprinkle shrimp over sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve warm.
