Ingredients for vol-au-vents with scallops in orange sauce:

  • Flaky puff pastry - 250 g
  • Scallop (sea, small) - 8 units
  • Orange juice - 150 ml
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (ground - to taste)
  • Parsley (for decoration)
  • Sesame (for sprinkling the volovans)

How to cook volovans with scallops in orange sauce step by step with photos

Make volovans out of puff pastry.

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake in heated oven for about 10-15 minutes.

Defrost scallop. Dry. Fry on olive oil for 1-2 minutes on each side.

Mix orange juice with flour and spices. Pour the juice into the scallop, bring to the boil and cook for 2 to 4 minutes more.

Pour the scallop into the volavan.

Pour the sauce on top and garnish with parsley.
