Ingredients for homemade shawarma:

  • Lavash - 3 pcs
  • Meat (Any) - 200 g
  • Tomato - 1 piece
  • Cucumber (Medium) - 1 pc
  • Red Onion - 0.5 pc
  • White cabbage / Cabbage - 100 g
  • Ketchup - 3 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoon
  • Spices (Salt, pepper and all seasonings) - to taste

How to cook shawarma step by step with photos

First, let's prepare all vegetables. Cut tomatoes and onions in half rings, cucumbers in small slices.

Shred the cabbage finely.

Pre-roast meat and cut into small pieces.

Now we have to make the sauce. We mix together mayonnaise, ketchup and spices.

Next, we spread out the lavash on the table, so that one side is folded in half. This is done in order to prevent the lavash from getting wet and to hold its shape.

Then grease the lavash with sauce and lay out the vegetables in layers. Cabbage, meat, onion, cucumber, tomato, and optionally add mayonnaise between the layers for juiciness.

Now we roll up the pita and get the shawarma, but in order it becomes even more delicious, we fry it on both sides of a dry pan until it becomes reddish crust. That's all, shawarma ready)))) Bon appetit!!!
