This dish is based on an appetizer of mushrooms in lemon juice, which I decided to put together in a "a bowlshell". Great with strong drinks and white dry wine (my husband does not drink strong wine).

  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Champignons (pickled, whole) - 450 g
  • Vegetable oil - 4 tablespoon
  • Pepper blend
  • Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) - 5 tablespoon
  • Greens (dill and parsley) - 1 bunch.
  • Vodka (cognac is ok) - 2 tablespoon
  • Water (into the dough) - 100 ml
  • Butter (into the dough) - 50 g
  • sugar (into dough) - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Wheat flour / Flour (for dough) - 70 g
  • Chicken egg (not very large) - 2 pcs
  • Salt (0,5 tsp.l for the filling, 0,25 tsp.l.) - 0.75 teaspoon

How to cook snack step by step with photos


Finely chop onion and sauté in oil for 3 minutes

Place mushrooms, sprinkle with pepper and salt and drizzle with lemon juice. Fry for 2-3 minutes, pour in vodka, stir and remove from the heat.

Put mushrooms and sauce to the fridge and let's make dough.

Pour water, butter, salt and sugar into a saucepan. Bring to the boil until the butter has dissolved, pour in all the flour and stir rapidly with a plastic or wooden spoon. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.

Knead in the eggs, one at a time until the dough is homogeneous. If the eggs are large, 1.5 pieces may be enough - the dough shouldn't be runny.

Using a syringe or teaspoon, shape a basket and handle on a parchment-lined baking sheet and place it in a preheated 200 degrees oven for 25-30 minutes.

Take ready pastry out of the oven and let cool, using toothpicks assemble the basket.

Add finely chopped mushrooms and put them in a . Keep in the refrigerator until serving. Mushrooms can be prepared 1-2 days in advance.
