Ingredients for snack "colorful balls":


  • Mushrooms (fresh) - 200 g
  • Hard cheese (grated) - 100 g
  • Onions - 2 pcs
  • Butter - 70 g
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Bread (approx.) - 100 g
  • Waffles (Waffle sheets, for sprinkles) - 1 pc
  • Dill (for sprinkles)
  • Garlic - 1 clove

How to cook appetizer "colorful balls" step by step with photos


Wash the mushrooms and finely chop them

Melt the butter in a frying pan, put in it chopped onion and garlic

Sauté the onion and garlic for a few minutes, add the mushrooms, put the lid on and simmer for about 15 minutes. Then we take off the lid and put almost all the liquid out over a low heat.

We'll need some black bread. I have rye bread, sprinkled with sesame seeds - that's a bonus :-)

The bread should be crumbled as finely as possible

While the mushrooms and onions are stewing, we are going to prepare the sprinkles: finely crumble a wafer leaf - for the light sprinkles

... finely chop the dill - for the green sprinkles

Add salt and pepper to the hot mushrooms with onion, add a little grated cheese, bread crumbs and mix everything well. Let the mixture cool.

Roll small balls from the cooled mass. Roll them in waffle crumbs and finely chopped dill

The appetizer is ready! It can be served at once, but it will be tastier if you let the balls stand in the fridge for at least an hour.
