Ingredients for the stuffed mushrooms with chicken and cheese:


  • Chicken breast - 1 pc
  • Spices ("MAGGI for Tender Fillet of Italian Chicken Breast" - 1 sheet) - 1 pc
  • Cream cheese - 60 g
  • Sour cream - 4 tablespoon
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Mozzarella (shredded) - 1/2 glass
  • Champignons (Large) - 12 pcs
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Thyme - 1 bunch.

How to cook mushrooms stuffed with chicken and cheese step by step with photos


Rinse, dry and beat chicken breast with mallet until about 1.5 cm thick. Frying Sheet "MAGGI for Tender Italian Chicken Breast Fillet" Unwrap, put chicken fillet on one half, cover with second half of sheet. Press down with palm of your hand.

Heat a dry frying pan over high heat and place the chicken fillet wrapped in it. Cook over low heat for 7 minutes on each side.

Wash and dry the mushrooms, cut off the stalks and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, head-side down.

Finely chop the legs and place them in a heated frying pan with 1 tablespoon of oil. Cook for 5 minutes.

In the meantime finely chop chicken breast. Add to mushrooms. Stir.

Mix flour and sour cream in a bowl and add to pan, season with salt and pepper. Bring to the boil and simmer for 8-10 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and cool.

Add melted cheese and fresh thyme leaves to the cooled chicken stuffing. If no thyme leaves are available add other finely chopped herbs. Stir together.

Stuff mushroom caps with stuffing. Sprinkle grated mozzarella on top. Bake in preheated to 180 degrees oven for 15-20 minutes. I have some leftover stuffing which I spread on slices of baguette.

Place the mushrooms on a serving platter and serve. Enjoy!!
