  • Puff pastry - 500 g
  • Egg yolk - 1 pc
  • Chicken breast - 2 pcs
  • Chicken egg - 3 - 4 pcs
  • Tomato - 2 pcs
  • Mayonnaise - 4 tablespoon
  • Greens - 0.5 pooch.
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (ground, to taste)
  • Mushrooms (pickled, I have chives) - 50-70 g

How to cook puff pastry tarts step by step with photos


Thaw out the yeast puff pastry. Roll out the pastry into a 0.3 to 0.5 cm thick rectangle. Cut into about 8 x 8 cm squares of equal size.

Make a crisscross cut in the center of half the squares.

Coat the whole squares with egg yolk.

Then lay the notched square on top of the whole, and bend the corners outwards to create the petals.

Prick the middle with a fork. And place in oven heated up to 180*С for about 20 minutes. Or you can just make it into a boat. For this purpose grease two opposite edges with yolk (making sure that it does not come apart in baking). Make the pans, prick the bottom with a fork and add some beans, so they don't puff up and keep their shape.

Here, we have golden tartlets. You can put any stuffing into the tartlets, you can fill them with your favorite salad, caviar, fruit or berry jam. It's up to your imagination and taste.

I made tartlets with lettuce. Boil chicken breast, eggs. Cut into small pieces, also finely chop tomato (drain juice), herbs. Season with salt and pepper, add pickled mushrooms and mayonnaise. mix everything well.

Fill tartlets with salad. Enjoy!!!
