The filling can always be different, since a few spoonfuls of already cooked porridge are added to it. Very tasty with millet, but you can add any ready-made, to your taste and desire! Sesame seed buns are best for cooking. I had cheese buns today, and you can see that the cheese marks on the sides are baked again! But that didn't hinder it, it added to the flavor!

Ingredients for Whole Dish Scones "quick breakfast":

  • Bun (with sesame seeds. Here with cheese) - 4 pcs
  • Millet (already boiled millet porridge, or any cooked porridge - 3 tablespoon) - 3 tablespoon
  • Champignons (or oyster mushrooms) - 100 g
  • Onions (50 g) - 1 pc
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper (ground) - to taste
  • Vegetable oil (refined, 2-3 tablespoon) - 2 tablespoon
  • Greens (any, chopped, 1-2 tablespoon) - 2 tablespoon

How to cook scones "quick breakfast" step by step with photos

Finely chop onion, put in frying pan and fry for 2-3 minutes. Finely chop mushrooms and add to onions. Sauté together for 8 to 9 minutes.

Prepare 3 tablespoon of boiled millet porridge and finely chopped greens. I used parsley.

Add the millet and herbs to the pan. Remove from heat. Season with salt and pepper (children can skip the pepper) and stir.

Cut the tops off the buns, remove the pulp from the middle and put the filling. My buns were not with sesame seeds but with cheese, you can tell by the traces ! Put the buns in a preheated oven (180 degrees) for 5-7 minutes. I didn't put a lid on them, since they were already covered with baked cheese and would have burned!
