Ingredients for the appetizer potato pie:

  • Champignons - 500 g
  • Onions - 2 pcs
  • Mashed potatoes - 800 g
  • Chicken egg - 2 pcs
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 8 pcs
  • Hollandaise cheese (I had King Arthur) - 150 g
  • Garlic - 2 clove
  • Greens (chives, dill, parsley) - 20 g
  • Mayonnaise (Maheev's) - 4 tablespoon
  • Seasoning (salt, pepper, nutmeg) - 1 tablespoon

How to cook potato cake step by step with photos


Fried mushrooms and onions.

While the mushrooms are roasting, make potato dough: add salt, pepper, nutmeg and eggs to the mashed potatoes... Stir everything.

Then add flour to the dough and mix everything well.

Then add garlic and dill to the mayonnaise. And mix it up. That will be the sauce.

Then you can start to shape the pie.

Put half of the potato dough in the first layer and grate half of the cheese on top.

Then put the mushrooms.

Then spread the sauce.

Then layer the potatoes and top with the remaining half of the cheese.. And put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 220 degrees.

And the pie is done...)
