A super appetizer for holidays and weekdays, with a delicious filling of the gifts of autumn! Eggplant rings, fragrant mushrooms under a layer of juicy carrots and meltable cream cheese... And all that framed in a crispy golden crust... very tasty! The name for this appetizer just happened to pop into my head. It was only later that I started searching on the Internet for something consonant and what it could mean, and I found. From the German Stapel: stack, pile... I'm so right on the money!

Ingredients for snack "stappers":


  • Champignons - 250 g
  • Eggplant - 1 pc
  • Carrots - 1 pc
  • Hard cheese (creamy) - 100 g
  • Baton - 1 pc
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Milk - 18 teaspoon
  • Coriander (ground) - 2 pinch.
  • Black pepper - 1 pinch.
  • Vinegar (apple 0.5 tsp.l)
  • Salt - to taste
  • vegetable oil (for frying) - 1 tablespoon

How to cook appetizer "stappers" step by step with photos


Peel and grate raw carrots on a coarse grater. Add apple cider vinegar, black pepper and coriander powder. Squeeze in the garlic. Stir and set aside or leave in the refrigerator to marinate.

Slice and boil mushrooms in salted water. Drain the water. Let the mushrooms cool.

Cut eggplant in rings, lightly salt and fry in oil until brown. We need 12 rings in all. You don't need much frying oil - just a tablespoon.

Grate cheese on a coarse grater. Cut the French bread into slices 3 cm thick. We need 6 slices of dough.

Arrange the slices on a plate. Pour milk over the slices, 3 teaspoons for each slice. Sprinkle the milk so that the edges of the slices stay dry, about 0.5 cm wide. Press the loaf with a teaspoon to make or "plates". For a sample, see this photo.

Place two eggplant rings in each depression, press with a spoon.

Next place boiled mushrooms, press with a spoon.

Put pickled carrots on top and press a little too.

Sprinkle with grated cheese. Gently place on a greased baking tray. Put in the preheated oven and bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

Surprisingly delicious snack turns out - juicy, flavorful, with a golden crispy crust!
