Ingredients for stuffed mushroom caps with egg:

  • Champignons (large caps, 8-9cm in diameter) - 5 pcs
  • Tomato - 1 pc
  • Sour cream - 1 tablepoon
  • Ham - 60 g
  • Hard cheese - 60 g
  • Quail egg - 5 units
  • Onion - 0,5 pcs
  • Garlic - 2 clove
  • Pepper mixture - to taste
  • Butter - 20 g
  • Salt - to taste

How to cook stuffed mushroom caps with egg step by step with photos

Wash the mushrooms and pat dry with paper towel. Peel off the skin, it comes off easily, and take out the stalks.

Finely chop mushroom caps and onion and fry in butter, add chopped tomato without skin and stew all together for a minute.

Then add sour cream, finely chopped dill and garlic, pepper mixture, salt (take into account the salt on the cheese and ham), stir and keep on a low heat for a minute, stirring.

Cut the ham and hard cheese into small cubes, add the mushroom mixture and stir to combine.

Spread stuffing on mushroom caps, put into a baking dish, pour 2 tablespoon of water on the bottom, cover with foil and place in a 170°C oven for 5-6 minutes. Put glass dish in warm oven and bake for 10 minutes.

Remove and let cool slightly. In the meantime fry quail eggs, making sure the yolk stays liquid.
