  • Mushrooms (Any kind, I have porcini) - 1 kg
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Vinegar (9% or 150 ml apple) - 100 ml
  • Vegetable oil - 70 ml
  • Garlic - 5 clove
  • Black pepper (peas) - 10 cloves
  • Cloves (less) - 4 pcs
  • Bay leaf - 2 pcs
  • Sugar - 2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 2 teaspoon

How to cook Venezuelan mushrooms step by step with photos


This recipe is so simple that step-by-step photos are unnecessary. But rules are rules! Chop the garlic finely. Exactly chop it!

Wash the mushrooms, if you take oyster mushrooms or champignons. Forest mushrooms must be boiled. You can chop them, but I left the small ones in one piece and cut the larger ones in half. Combine the mushrooms and garlic in a saucepan, then add the water.

Add salt, sugar, cloves, bay, pepper and oil. Stir everything. Once it boils, turn down the heat to medium, put a lid on the pot and simmer the mushrooms for 15 minutes. Just before you turn off the heat, pour in the vinegar and give the mushrooms a good stir.

Now, the most important thing is to let the mushrooms stand for at least a night! Let cool, put them in a clean jar and put in the fridge. That's what seems to be new? Everything is as usual. But believe me, marinating mushrooms this way, you save time, space in the pantry, the basement, and you end up with delicious marinated mushrooms!
