Waffle Baskets with Wild Rice and Mushrooms

As wild rice is a very healthy and expensive food, it can make a decoration for any festive table or buffet.
Ingredients for the waffle baskets with wild rice and mushrooms:

Butter

Green onion

Basil
(ground, pounded)

Hot red pepper
(to taste)

Flowers
(for decoration)

Tartlet

How to cook waffle baskets with wild rice and mushrooms step by step with photos

Prepare rice, mushrooms, oil, salt, pepper, green onions, basil baskets. |
|
Pour rice into boiling water (1 portion of rice = 3 servings of water), simmer over low heat under a lid for 30 minutes, season with salt at the end of cooking. |

Melt butter in a pan. Add chopped mushrooms |
|
Fry over a medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
|
Then add the rice, chopped onion, basil, salt and pepper and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring. |
|
Let the mixture cool slightly and fill the baskets with a spoon. |
|
Serve with cream sauce or mushroom sauce.
