My favorite sandwiches!!! I used to celebrate many holidays at my aunt's house: Easter, New Year's Eve, March 8th, my aunt's and my kids' birthdays. Every holiday my aunt would make these sandwiches, first because she always made them, probably out of habit, and then for my sake. When everybody sat down at the table, pouring hot drinks, the first thing I did was to look for sandwiches on the table and quickly put them on my plate with the thought: what if I don't have enough:) Yes, yes, that's how much I loved them and I love them to this day. I never liked our salads with mayonnaise, greasy cutlets or any cuts of meat, I went to my aunt's house just for these sandwiches. While everybody was sweeping the food off the table, I sat down closer to my aunt's plate and one by one ate my aunt's buns until I felt like I was going to burst. Then I grew up and started making them myself at home, and I continue to make them for breakfast now that I'm married. My husband really likes them too. Maybe you'll like them too.

Ingredients for Aunt Luda's Sandwiches:


  • Bread (loaf) - 6 slices.
  • Hard cheese (yellow) - 150 g
  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

How to cook auntie luda's sandwiches step by step with photos


Sandwiches are made with white bread. The loaf was so thick, I remember it was accordion-like on top and it didn't crumble when sliced. I've already forgotten the smell of white bread, not to mention the taste, as I now make them with rye bread. But today I decided to make half with rye for myself, and half with white, as my aunt did, for my husband. We need 6 slices of bread. The picture shows 3 slices of rye bread (I also decided to slightly toast them in a toaster, but you don't have to do that, I just wanted to; I didn't dry white bread).

Filling: grate cheese on a coarse grater.

Finely chop the onion (I minced in a blender) and add to the cheese, beat an egg and mix well. You can add pepperoni.

We put the stuffing on each piece of bread: on rye

and on the loaf. I had not even 6, but 7 sandwiches. At first I wanted to spread the filling on all the sandwiches, but then I decided to make a seventh sandwich too, my husband has a good appetite:).

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and place the sandwiches with the filling side down.

Do the same with all sandwiches, and fry on low heat until crispy, 2 minutes.

Put them on a plate when they're done.
