Beef and vegetables tartine

Tartine is an open French sandwich, a little bigger than our sandwich. Tartine has its origins in the Middle Ages, when the peasant's coarse stale bread was used as a plate by the poor, first eating the contents, and then a slice of bread, soaked in the food. The filling of a tartine can be completely different at the discretion of the French hostess.
