Canapés with herring and blackcurrant jam
Time to cook: 10 minutes
Total Servings: 2
Who says jams are only for sweet dishes?? Sweet berries are often the perfect accompaniment for many meat dishes and can make them even more flavorful. But the Swedes have gone one step further. They pair herring with sweet berries. In Scandinavian countries, it is difficult to surprise anyone with sweet herring with cranberries, cowberries, currants, or even blueberries. Why don't we try it?? Especially since in the end it is not so sweet, but just unusual and interesting. The combination of sweet and sour currants, neutral sour cream, pungent horseradish and piquant onions goes perfectly with lightly salted herring as a sauce. In addition, the appetizer takes only 10 minutes to prepare, but in presentation and "Interesting" The flavor would rival any regular sandwich.
