Creamy lemon toast for borscht

Unexpectedly I had foreign guests for dinner. Naturally I cooked for them my special borscht. But since I didn't have time for a traditional pompous soup, I had this idea of croutons with cream cheese, garlic and lemon. Funny thing is that my Americans thought that these croutons are some kind of traditional Belarusian toasts. So I liked the recipe and since then we have been making croutons to borsch. I did not enclose the recipe of borsch because there is a similar one on the web-site. But I decided to share the recipe
Ingredients for creamy lemon croutons for borsch:

(Soft like the tender summer)

How to cook creamy lemon toast for borscht step by step with photos

Prepare the ingredients. Wash parsley and lemon. Dry them on a paper towel. Cut off the stalks from parsley and leave some leaves |

Prepare the parsley and garlic. Finely chop parsley. Pass garlic through a garlic masher. I have a broken one, so I had to mince it finely |

Melt the butter in a pan (I like cast-iron). Fry the loaf on both sides until crispy |

Mix the cheese and garlic. Peel the lemon. Use it for decoration. Sprinkle a quarter of the lemon juice over the cheese. Mix until smooth. |

Sprinkle the croutons with cheese and garlic. Sprinkle with parsley. Cut flowers out of lemon zest and decorate the croutons. And voila!! Enjoy aromatic borscht and croutons. And here's my husband's plate is already full and the croutons are eating up. Barely had time to take a picture) Enjoy! |
