Caramel Croutons

If you have leftover bread and you don't know what to do with it, make these Caramel Croutons. Recipe is easy, quick to make and these croutons are delicious.

How to cook caramel croutons step by step with photos

You can use any kind of bread for this recipe, I use slices of toasted bread. |

Dice the bread and toast it in a dry pan. |

Then we take a bowl with a thick bottom, add sugar, water, and heat over a medium heat, without stirring it. |

The mixture gradually begins to brown, at this point add butter, stir well, and turn down the heat to minimum. |
|
Add warm milk, stir well, and simmer on low heat for a couple of minutes. |
|
Add croutons and mix. |

Spread out the breadcrumbs on parchment or a silicone mat, wait for the caramel to harden. |
