  • Bread (white, stale) - 300 g
  • Milk (hot) - 200 ml
  • Chicken egg (1 whole egg + 1 yolk) - 2 units
  • Hard cheese (grated) - 50 g
  • Spices (salt, pepper)

How to cook original croutons for a quick breakfast step by step with photos


Slice the bread (I use stale sandwich bread).

Add hot milk to it. Stir it up. Let cool slightly and add egg + 1 egg yolk + grated cheese. Stir.

Form balls with wet hands and place them in hot oil. Fry both sides until golden brown. You can eat them with jam. We like it with sour cream.
