When I was little, my dad used to make me these for breakfast before school... Now I got my own family, kids of my own... My dad's been out of the world for a couple months now... So I decided to share this recipe with you. I couldn't find it on the web site.) It's very quick, easy, delicious, nutritious and the kids love it!

Ingredients for Sweet Toasties "bakers" for breakfast:


  • Bread - 6 pcs
  • Milk - 70 ml
  • Chicken egg - 2 pcs
  • Sugar (To your taste, I like it sweeter, so I put 2 tbsp.l. No hill. My dad used to put less.) - 2 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 pinch.
  • Butter (For frying)

How to cook sweet croutons "bakers" step by step with photos


Prepare the foods.

Beat the eggs, sugar, milk and a pinch of salt, Dip our bread into the mixture and let it soak. Meanwhile we put a pan with butter on medium heat. As the butter has melted, spread the bread (I make 3 pieces in two batches, in a small pan). The heat is almost minimal. I fry both sides until a slight browning.

I serve it with condensed milk and jam. Cocoa for kids, tea and milk for myself.)

The most important thing for me is that my fussy kids eat it!!)
