Delicious, unusual, savory sandwiches. Many years ago my mom was hospitalized for a long time. It was just me and my daddy. He used to make us sandwiches like this. It's been 27 years since then... Daddy's gone... I still remember those sandwiches.

  • Bread (MUST Borodino bread) - 4 slices.
  • Potatoes (medium size) - 2 pcs
  • Broth (I have chicken) - 2 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper (to get it to your taste - spicy, but not too spicy) - to taste
  • Tomato paste - 1 teaspoon
  • vegetable oil (for frying) - 1 teaspoon

How to cook sandwiches "Daddy's" step by step with photos


Boil potatoes. Mashed potato potatoes with a meat grinder. Taste and season with salt and black pepper. Add two tablespoons of stock. Stir in.

Add a teaspoonful of tomato paste. Stir, check for salt. Puree should not be too runny!

On slices of bread (I cut them in half diagonally) spread the potato mixture.

Pour oil in a pan (preferably non-stick), spread it on the surface.. It is not necessary to pour a lot of oil. Heat up the frying pan with oil. Place mashed potatoes on the bottom of the pan.

Fry the mashed potatoes until crispy. Turn the sandwiches right side up with your hand, and fry a little more on the bread itself. I recommend that you let the sandwiches cool completely, that way all the flavor will unfold.
