Herring snacks are perhaps the most popular and the first to disappear from the table. This dish has the same combination of flavors as herring under a fur coat, but in a portion size serving. If you like buffet snacks, then this is a worthy alternative to the traditional dish.

Ingredients for herring on a fur coat:

  • Herring (filet) - 100 g
  • Beets - 1 pc
  • Carrots - 1 pc
  • Potatoes - 1 pc
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoon
  • Bread (black) - 4 slices.
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoon

How to cook herring on a fur coat step by step with photos

Boil the vegetables, cool them, peel them.

Chop them one by one. I used the Grater attachment in the GALAXY GL2300.

Shred the chopped vegetable completely each time, so that all the vegetables are not mixed up.

Cut the bread into square or rectangles and trim the crusts.

Broil until crispy in a pan with oil. Let cool.

Sprinkle a little grated potatoes and a dash of mayonnaise on each crouton.

Then carrots and a dash of mayonnaise and top with beets and a dash of mayonnaise.

Slice the herring into strips. I use pre-cooked herring fillets.

Place herring slices on top and serve. Enjoy!!
