  • Beets (boiled) - 1 pc
  • Herring (filet) - 0,5 pc
  • Bread (Borodinsky, small loaf) - 1 pc
  • Butter (soft) - 40 g
  • Lemon peel - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Chicken egg (boiled) - 2 pcs
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablepoon
  • Greens (parsley, dill, finely chopped) - 2 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 pinch.
  • Black pepper - 1 pinch.

How to cook herring sandwiches step by step with photos


Our ingredients

Peel and slice boiled beets into thin slices. Drizzle with lemon juice, season with salt and pepper and leave to marinate.

Mix butter with lemon zest and chopped herbs.

Cut the bread into slices and spread .

Cut the slices of bread in half.

Lay beets on top of the butter.

Cut the eggs into slices and put them on top of the beets.

Cut herring fillet into small pieces and put it on the egg.
