These are the sandwiches my mom used to make for us when I was in high school. That's how I remember them, they were delicious and filling. I also remembered about them and decided to make them for my beloved for dinner. I do not pretend to be original. I think there are a lot of similar recipes.

  • Ground beef
  • Onions
  • Tomato
  • Chicken egg
  • Potatoes (mashed potatoes)
  • Hard cheese
  • Cucumber (pickled)
  • Greens

How to cook hot sandwiches step by step with photos


I don't give the quantity, since I took it arbitrarily. But I used about 500g of stuffing. First we make the stuffing. Just add finely chopped onion, salt, pepper to taste. You can use absolutely any stuffing that you have in the fridge.

Cut tomatoes in rounds

Boil the eggs and cut into two halves (or quarters), whichever you prefer.

I had some mashed potatoes from yesterday's dinner. You could use them for mashed potatoes, too. Just add some raw egg and stir it well so you can spread it on.

Shape sandwiches. Put mayonnaise on each slice of bread, then stuffing, potatoes, mayonnaise, tomatoes (or pickles), half an egg and a slice of cheese. You don't have to use all the ingredients at once, though. You can do without potatoes and eggs. The main thing is to put the stuffing on the bread with mayonnaise.

We put it in the oven for 20-25 minutes, placing the sandwich on the foil greased with vegetable oil. And that's it.

You can eat it with ketchup. Like this.

Or with fresh salad.
