For the stuffing

  • Ground turkey (TM INDILITE) - 200 g
  • Olive oil (or sunflower oil) - 1 tablepoon
  • Garlic (large) - 1 clove
  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Salt (to taste) - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper (to taste, I have a mixed pepper) - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Thyme - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Basil - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc
  • Zucchini (~50 g) - 1 slice.

For sandwiches

  • Baguette (a ~ 10 cm long slice, or loaf, or sliced wheat bread) - 4 slices.
  • Tomato (I have small ones) - 4 pcs
  • Hard cheese (the cheese should melt well) - 2 slices.
  • Greens (to serve)

How to cook hot stuffed turkey sandwiches step by step with photos


I will use turkey stuffing TM INDILITE. Pack weighs 450 grams, I need 200 grams for 4 sandwiches. I fry onions in the stuffing. I'll pour oil in a pan, heat it, put the garlic cloves, fry, so it gives aroma to the oil and remove it. I'll put the chopped onions. Gild. I'll put them in the stuffing. In the stuffing break an egg, grate a zucchini, put fried onion, salt and pepper it, add thyme and basil. Knead minced meat thoroughly with all additions.

Stuffing is ready. We need slices of white bread. I can use any kind: baguette, loaf or sliced wheat bread. I use baguette. I cut two 10 cm slices from it and then cut it into two more slices. We put stuffing on the slices of bread. Don't make a thick layer. It needs to be about 1 cm high, so that the stuffing is cooked quickly and the bread doesn't dry out too much. Place 2 tomato slices or as many as you can fit on the stuffing. I'll put the sandwiches on a rack and cook them under the grill. You can do it on the grill. Enough of this stuffing to make four sandwiches.

We put in the heated oven to T-180 C for 15 minutes under the grill. I will do in an electric oven, turning on only the top elements. This time (15 minutes) is enough for the sandwiches to cook. Take them out and put cheese on each one. I had sliced cheese and had enough for 2 pieces, which I divided in half. Put them in the uncooked oven and let them stand a while so the cheese melts.

Done, I sprinkle the sandwiches with herbs.
